KART RACING IN 2015
1-9-15 Orlando Speedworld
Steven made his first start in a mini cup car. He took to it quickly and had a good night. There were 9 cars in the class, and Steven drove the #24 to 4'th place...AND won $150 in the process!
1-31-15 S. Florida Karting
With a new engine and a new body, Hollinger Racing rolled into Hobe Sound for a fast day on the pavement. Steven looked good, and his JR2 feature was the best race of the day! The track champion, Brian Lopez, and Steven passed and re-passed, lap after lap. It was exciting! The only problem is that we ended up in second place, but I was really proud of his effort and skill.

Yep, that is Steven with Tony Stewart! They had a nice chat; Tony was very friendly and considerate.
2-14-15 S. FL Karting
Christian was in charge of our track catering today.
We had another hard-fought and competitive day, and ended up second again. We also had an accident in the second heat that found the two leaders in the turn 4 tires!
3-7-15 Community Kart Club, New Smyrna Speedway
Well, it was one of those nights.... Steven drove the #33. We were trying to get it sorted out, but that kart was a struggle all night. No pictures. That is ok, it was a night to forget!

Back in action and breaking in a new driver. My good friend, Johnny Gilbertson, put his son Ryan in my #33 tonight. Ryan is a 3'rd generation driver: his grandfather raced sprints, and his dad has several sprint car championships at East Bay and in the TBARA.
We had some expert help from Tim Walters to help us get these karts tuned in!
Back in action on 6-5-15
Ryan collects a "W" on his second night! He won the feature in the rookie division, and won with second heat with a wild last turn pass.
Steven was running well too after so many weeks of struggle. However, the fuel pump quit early on in the feature, so we are still waiting for a good finish.
